One of the Friends, David Howe, organises the bookcase in the recently refurbished platform 3 waiting room. The books come from church and library sales, donations, charity shops, sporadic ‘clear outs’ etc. With so many of the older generation ‘downsizing’ or dying that there’s an endless supply of books to be recycled. Nevertheless, donations aalways welcome. Returned books are welcomed home, and unwanted books put back tidily on the shelves gladden an old librarian’s heart.
